b.good - our national TV debut

b.good - our national TV debut

Hey Everyone,

It's a good thing we're used to embarrassing ourselves.

In 5th grade, Anthony fell flat on his face and covered his entire body with popcorn and hotdogs in front of a sold-out Celtics crowd who decided it would be nice to give the fat, little boy a standing ovation and throw more food at him. "He looked hungry" one woman said as her sausage whizzed into Anthony's tear filled face. (He ran away. Somedays, it feels like he's still running from those bad people.)

Jon once got so drunk in college that he entered a talent show and in front of hundreds of unimpressed peers, proceeded to rip down curtains, scream like a sick animal, and bash his head repeatedly against a wall while dressed in a black, full-body leotard. That was his talent. His talent was acting like an idiot.

So, this Saturday at our Back Bay location, we are going to be filmed for Rachel Ray's show. The show is nationally televised and while most people who own a restaurant would be nervous about embarrassing themselves in front of a national audience, we are not.

We know we are going to embarrass ourselves, so there is no reason to be nervous.

Anthony is sure to say something that sounds completely insane. Jon is sure to start laughing uncontrollably or stare at the camera as if in a trance or as if he wanted to kill the camera. And we'll both look horrible. Anthony will look bloated and his chin will stick-out so far that he won't look like a human. Jon will show off his double-chin and small, pin-head.

But, even though we're not worried about our own appearance tomorrow, we're paranoid about how our baby b.good is going to look.

We want her to be as beautiful as she's ever been and that means we want her to be filled with you, our newsletter family.

So, we need you to be eating free burgers here with us in the Back Bay when the lights come on and the cameras roll.

If you're anywhere near the Back Bay tomorrow afternoon (Saturday, October 28th) come by 131 Dartmouth Street from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m., eat your favorite burger for free, and be a part of b.good's explosion into the national media.

See you tomorrow,
Anthony & Jon

P.S. Check your inbox next Tuesday. We're sending a newsletter so you can all sample our new turkey burger before we add it as a menu special and so you can wear a real world championship belt around your home and office (and eat free food for a year) by entering our 3rd annual garlicky-green eating contest.
