bgood Newsletter #14 -- El Camino
Hey Everyone,
It's with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to the glorious month of April. (Don't leave us, sweet April. we love you, honey-baby.)
Seeing April leave is like losing a best-friend (who loans you money). And that's because it was during these 30 joyous days that people ate more lean burgers and baked fries than ever before in our 15 month history.
And all that April eating has meant we've been able to pay the bills and still have enough money left over to think about some strategic corporate investments that will get us closer to our goal of making the greatest "healthier" fast-food restaurant the world has ever known.
But, since we're still a small, young company, investments are scary.
So with much deliberation, we've recently determined that the best investment for b.good is a used Chevy "El Camino" - one of those weird looking cars from the 1970's and 80's that ingeniously combines the fashionable styling of a car with the practical functionality of a truck bed.
Even though we knew it made strategic sense, we were still scared of allocating hard-earned corporate funds to an "El Camino".
That was until we came up with the idea of getting it pimped out with a custom paint-job that will cover it with racing stripes, flames, flying fireballs, and pictures of Uncle Faris' head. And until we came up with the idea of putting an air-fryer in the truck bed so that we can drive around handing out free baked fries wherever we go.
So, once we thought of it that way, all our investment fears faded into the serenity of two soothing Spanish words. El camino, el camino, oh el camino bonito. (Translated: the road, the road, oh the beautiful road.)
The problem now is that we've only been able to see it in our dreams (and on eBay).
The "El Camino" has turned out to be one of the most sought-after vehicles on the used car market. And we've learned that if you don't live in Southern Texas, you're going to have trouble getting one for your "healthier" fast-food restaurant.
But, we will not be denied. No used car website or Chevy dealer in New England will go unturned. And soon our dream car will be a reality.
To help make it perfect we need your help naming our little baby.
That means next month we're holding a contest to name our "El Camino". The winner will not only have the name they submitted painted forever on our dream-car, but more importantly, they'll get the keys to our "El Camino" for a weekend.
In the meantime, we want to celebrate the impending arrival of the 1st "EL Camino" in "healthier" fast-food history. So, we're giving away free shakes to you, our family of newsletter subscribers. Just print this out, come to b.good, and eat drink free shakes anytime between 5-10 pm this Thursday, April 28th.
Please remember to bring this newsletter with you. And to clear up any confusion, please tell your friends that they must be signed-up for our newsletter to get their free shake. Sorry, but you can't bring in copies of someone else's newsletter or forwarded emails.
Violators are subject to paying for a shake and then being forced to sit at a table in the middle of the restaurant while Chef Tony screams "nobody likes you" at them over and over. (It really hurts when he does that. It hurts on the inside.)
As always, if you know anyone crazy enough to want to drive an "El Camino" or anyone who just wants the free stuff that comes with this newsletter, tell them to sign up at our website.
