#8 - Faris's Tips

#8 - Faris's Tips

Hey Everyone,

8 months have come and gone faster than that crazy homeless guy who stealthily darts in and out of b.good trying to sneak free fountain soda. He likes sprite.

And after 8 months, we think you know that we're all about, great tasting, "healthier" fast food. Or, as we now like to call it: "homemade fast food... without the grease."

Yet, if you've ever seen us at b.good (especially Anthony), we're pretty sure that you have no idea that we're also all about promoting healthy lifestyles.

And over the last 8 months, we've learned a lot about healthy living.

We've learned that it's not healthy to work 20 hour days for 4 weeks straight. (You can do it for 3, but once you hit 4 you start getting dizzy.)

We've learned that it's not healthy to obsess so much about the consistency of our homemade buffalo sauce that you want to shove a gallon of it down your friend's throat to make him understand that it needs to change.

We've learned that it's not healthy to eat 17 burgers in one day to test cooking methods. (Even if they are the leanest, freshest burgers around, it can still hurt.)

We've learned that it's not healthy to try and fix refrigeration equipment yourself. You can get shocked, burned, and mutilate your finger. That's not healthy at all.

And finally, we've learned that it's not healthy to talk about b.good every second of the day. Friends, especially girlfriends and now wives, do not like to hear about perfecting burger cooking techniques at 3:30 in the morning. This can result in being punched and having things thrown at your head and that is not healthy. (Together, we have come up with other things to talk about. "It was really nice out today." "I like TV." "Do you like grass? I love the way grass smells." These are much healthier conversations.)

But, we didn't just learn the path to the healthy life since we started b.good. We were taught clean living at a young age.

As formative children, we were taught the discipline by spending long hours together watching Richard Simmons aerobic videos and fitness equipment infomercials... which are fabulous.

And we learned it by following in the teachings of our mentor, Uncle Faris.

Many years ago, Uncle Faris taught us that healthy living is more than just mass-consumption of the highest quality beef, chicken, and veggies. He taught us that healthy living transcends food to represent a righteous way of life.

Thus, when he's not hurling random verbal insults at innocent bystanders who impede his Dunkin Donut caffeine fix, sitting motionless on his sofa watching old-time karate movie marathons, or playing the tri-fecta at the Taunton dog track, Uncle Faris is an ambassador of the emotionally, physically, and spiritually wholesome lifestyle.

However, Uncle Faris' teachings have remained hidden secrets known only to those who gain passage to his Canton kitchen. That was until now. We've decided that they can be secrets no longer. We've decided to bring the light to the masses.

In the hope that his wisdom may enlighten your quest for health and wholesomeness, we present our latest web video that records some of Uncle Faris' most inspirational tips.

Like all our food, this video has been approved by the king of goodness, the earl of earnest, the ruler of real, our homie of homemade, Uncle Faris.
